A VIRTUAL SHAGGIN’ WAGON TRIP THROUGH FORM, FUNCTION, AND FUNKINESS

For lovers of modernism - all year long, Docomomo US/Oregon has been celebrating architecture from the 1970s in honor of resources from 1970 turning FIFTY, which means they are historic in the eyes (well, by the rules) of architectural preservation. For an event that was pushed to the virtual realm due to the on going pandemic, I created, designed and produced an interactive digital magazine that highlights some of Oregon’s 1970’s architecture, landscapes, and art. Readers can listen along to a curated 1970s playlist included in the magazine, and visit each site by tapping each resources location. There is also an documentary associated with one of the funkiest sites showcased. Stay groovy.
